My path to the travel industry and email marketing has not been a straightforward one, or even expected, if I'm being honest. If you had told me a few years ago that I'd be elbow-deep in the travel industry, I would've clutched my stethoscope in confusion, chalked it up to grogginess, and carried on with my night shift on the pediatric unit where I worked as a nurse for a decade.
And yet, here I am. A three-week adventure around the islands of French Polynesia led to me mentoring with the travel advisor who planned it. From there, I launched my very own travel business with virtually zero know-how, motivated purely by stubbornness and an unwillingness to fail. I was guided by the resources shared throughout the advisor community, eventually growing my business enough to leave healthcare and pursue travel advising full-time. Along the way, I became a client of 'TIQUE and fan-girled hard enough to land a spot on the team as the marketing administrator. And voilà - more than 5 years after entering the industry, I have found myself here: helping travel advisors harness the power of this very much overlooked part of their business.
